LO2 Task 2: KTA 9: What makes a Cohesive Brand

V Festival has a wide age range for its target audience so when creating its graphics it has to be careful they are suitable for everyone. The red is a popular colour and everyone can relate to it weather it being love for music or the danger of festival antics. The posters have different cartoon pictures of lots of different images such as guitars, backpacks and wellies which shows there is something there for everyone.
The Logo for V Fest has become very recognisable across the UK. Each year the background of the logo will change but still being bright and colourful it will always be recognised. The large 'V' representing Virgin Media is always the dame making a strong brand with the text always being in red to connote high spirits and love of music.
The posters and tickets are also brightly coloured connecting the logo, posters and tickets all together and making them recognisable as a whole. V Fest use horizontal integration meaning all their products are linked by their specific logo and famous house style creating synergy within the brand.
By looking at the V Fest brand I have realised that to make my brand succesful I need to keep with the same house style, have an eye catching logo which is distinctive & recognisable and use a suitable font to attract the target audience.

purpose) The purpose of these graphics design pieces is to advertise the festival and inform the target audience of what they could see this year.

format) One piece is a poster and the other is a logo. The poster is designed to go on walls or bus stops so people can see it whilst traveling. And the logo is to be seen everywhere, so that the public recognize the festival.

content) The content pf the first piece is a small icon feature which will be placed on everything that has something to do with Tramlines. Whilst the other piece which is a posters has information about who is playing at the festival.

style)  The style of these pieces is very simple but eye catching. They have both stuck with in the stlye of festival promotion and stayed with in the genre. The only thing i would comment on is if most of the performers were indie or rock then there is too much pink and red.

layout) I like the layout of these is to for fill the main purpose, either to inform or show. On the poster there is the title and then goes down the poster to go onto information of the festival and finishes with the large website address at the bottom so the audience know where to go for information.

target audience) The target audience for these pieces of advertising are music lovers. Average festival goers, that will recognize the sort of layout and theme of the normal festival advertisement.

regulatory bodies) Neither of these graphics pieces break the ASA Considerations. None of them glorify any violence or alcohol and sexual activity.

purpose) The purpose of these pieces is to advertise the specific festival. One is to give information about the festival and the other is just to cover the festival.

format)  One piece is a poster and the other is a logo. The poster is designed to go on walls or bus stops so people can see it whilst traveling. And the logo is to be seen everywhere, so that the public recognize the festival.

content)The content of the poster is full of information and then framed by graphics deigns, i think that there is too much information on the poster so they audinece will not take there time to read that much. The logo have a variety of colour to catch the audiences eye.

style) The style of these pieces are trying to stay with in the genre that the festival is in. I think that it is trying to look very summery and colourful to show when the festival is on.

layout) The layout of the poster Is the title at the start just like the other festival posters and then goes onto artist information until getting to the website address for more information and the logo is staying with in the same style and layout as other logos with a centre picture and colour.

target audience)The target audience for these advertising pieces are the people that are into the kind of music and will recognize the layout and colours of a festival poster.

regulatory bodies) Neither of these graphics pieces break the ASA Considerations. None of them glorify any violence or alcohol and sexual activity.
