This is my logo for steel city fest, i have used black and white and red to seem rock and indie, to show the audience what the festival is about straight away. the font stye i have used for the "steel" is a san serif font but does have small flicks so it is similar to both styles but is more of san serif font. For the "city" I used a serif Christmas style font to keep in the brief of the festival being near christmas. For the word "Fest" i have used san serif fonts again to seem bold and in your face to the audience and again stay in the theme of the festival. I reminded a plain black background with the electric guitars crossing each other as part of the background to show the audience of the music style at the festival. I can think of many different things that would make my draft better but one of them is getting rid of the guitars because it is looking to heavy metal and it is only a indie/rock festival.
This is my design draft for my ticket that i would sell for my festival. I have used the same font colour and styles as my logo to brand the ticket, and have used a plate of steel as the background for my ticket to represent the "steel" in steel city fest. I have used a simple black on white theme for prices of the tickets and a serif font. I have also used small silhouettes of instruments to show that the festival is a music festival because otherwise there is nothing telling the audience that this festival is based on music it could be for steel or for a film. One thing i would do to my ticket to improve it is get rid of the heavy metal font because again for all my drafts they are made for an indie festival and look like they should be for a heavy metal festival.
This is my draft idea for my magazine advert.I have again used the same font style and colours to brand the product, there is not a lot of information on this, i have done this so the people seeing this will see the pictures straight away and look twice at the poster if the people are recognised. I have used a bright green font colour for the dates so that will stand out and the date will stick in peoples heads, again i have used the same font styles and colours for the "steel city fest" to brand the product and make sure people know of the festival. If people keep seeing the same fonts and colours then they remember them. One thing i would do to my magazine advert is spend more time blending the photos in together so it looks more professional and not so messy.
This is my draft idea for my flyer it contains information of headliners and venus and sponsors. The fonts i have used for my information is the same font that i use for the word FEST In the title of the product steel city fest, I have done this because I wanted it to look indie/rock and stay with in the theme I have also used a grey background to relate and represent the steel in steel city fest. The colours that I have used in my flyer are bright and in your face to catch the eye of the public and I have also used the green colour font near to the red colour to remind and show the audince that it is nwar christmas and that is when the festival based. I would to improve the flyer by using more graphic effects and not just colours, i would add texture to the flyer.
